Deezer HiFi delivers exactly that: FLAC music files in bit audio with a sample rate of kbps, compared to the kbps MP3 files of standard streaming services. Rock megastars Pearl Jam are fresh from the release of their 11th studio album, Gigaton, and know all about the importance of high-fidelity audio. When it comes to hearing music how the artist intended, it makes sense to hear it from the artist themselves. This is the only DAW of mine that is behaving like this.If you want to hear music in the best possible quality, then you need the quality to be there from the start - and right the way through to the end. So the bottom line, Studio One is not allowing me to change the sample rate at all except by manually editing the ttings file. set MOTU to 48k via it's control panel app, start Studio One and Studio One changes device back to 44.1k.Īnd this will work the same way if the ttings file is set to 48K only now I can't change that to 44.1k via the above. Click on the Device Control Panel in the create a song box and change to 48k, it changes briefly and then goes back to 44.1k.Ĥ. The rate you set 48K the Device 44.1k".ģ. "Sample Rate Does Not Match Your Audio Device Configuration. Start Studio One fresh, create a song and change sample rate in Studio One to 48k, interface briefly switches to 48k as seen on panel and then back to 44.1k. That is because the ttings file is set at 44.1k.Ģ. Start Studio One, Select create a new song, sample rate is defaulting to 44.1k and everything works fine. Studio One Audio Options has the device set at 44.1k as well.ġ.

MOTU set for 44.1k in both the Windows Sound Control Panel and via the MOTU Discovery App. For the record, on board audio is disabled as are on board sounds (the beeps and squeaks). ( I often forget to put it back too which then causes the spitting issues) So then I do have to switch the mixer back to internal sample clock in order to get sound. My digital mixer however goes silent if it is set to receive the incoming clock from Studio One but Studio One is not booted up. But this is a slightly dangerous situation for me because when I do this I get occasional clicks and spits which is undesirable so for that reason I leave them synced. However IF I tell my digital mixer to run on its own internal sample clock (Can you do this for your interface) It stays at whatever sample rate the digital mixer is set too. I use a Yamaha digital mixer and this is what happens but only if my digital mixer is set to lock to the incoming sample rate it is getting from Studio One.

If you then decide to change the sample rate to 48K for whatever reason your interface should follow. When Studio One is booted up if you set the sample rate to say 44.1K then the interface should follow. Studio One is in command of your interface the moment it boots up. What you are describing sounds normal to me. The only way to change the sample rate is to edit the ttings file manually.Īnd the only way to use Studio One is to make sure the file matches the sample rate of the MOTU BEFORE starting Studio One.ĭoesn't happen with Reaper, Protools or Samplitude If I start a new song from scratch, and set the sample rate to 44.1k, Studio One will switch my interface back to 48k.Įven if I go into the MOTU panel and set it to 44.1k Studio One will switch it back all by itself within a second or so.

So if my MOTU is set to 44.1k via the MOTU control panel prior to starting Studio One and if the Studio One -> Audio Options is set to 48k, it gives an error message of sample mismatch and then sets my interface back to 44.1k. I want to make sure I'm not doing something stupid or missing something before filing an official bug report.Īny ideas on this one? Like I said, Studio One will not let me change the sample rate other than manually editing the ttings file. So in short, there is no way to change the sample rate in Studio One v3.3.1 even by creating a new song with a different sample rate. Any ideas? Also posted on the Studio One Questions database forum as a someone else has the same problem with a MOTU interface No problems with other DAW like Reaper. Studio one will change it back to 44.1k The only way around this that I have found is to manually go into the tup file and edit the sample rate in that file to match what my MOTU is set for and then reboot Studio One. In fact I don't even have to do anything with Studio One after changing the sample rate to 48k. Studio One keeps resetting my interface to 44.1k and when I try and change it via the MOTU panel or by creating a new song and typing in 48k, Studio one complains of a mismatch and changes it right back to 44.1k. I have a problem with a MOTU Ultralite AVB latest firmware level.
